Obituary

Racine – Genevieve M. (nee: Kuklinski) Roberts, age 91, passed away peacefully at Harmony Living Center of Racine on Thursday, October 3, 2013.

Genevieve was born in Racine on September 4, 1922 to the late Alex and Mary (nee: Mikolajczyk) Kuklinski. A graduate of Washington Park High School, she went to work for Moxness Products for over 34 years, retiring in 1986.

Genevieve was a longtime member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church where she had been actively involved with the Altar Society. More recently, she was a member of St. Lucy Catholic Church. Among her interests, she enjoyed gardening, playing cards, traveling and ceramics. She was also known to spoil and have harmless fun with her grandchildren. Above all, Genevieve will also be remembered for her loving free spirit and living life on her own terms. May she rest in peace.

Surviving are her daughter, MaryAnn (Peter) Beck; grandchildren, Audra (Kevin) Thompson, Edward "Eddie" (special friend, Christie) Lema Jr. and Michael (Lynn) Lema; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Allison and Lauren Thompson; Matthew, Mitchell and Weston Lema; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Genevieve was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Genevieve; sisters, Helen (Joseph) Ceader and Stella (Arthur) Klaus; and brothers, Alex (Pauline) Kuklinski and John (Jean) Kuklinski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 7, 2013 at 11 am in St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Avenue, with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. A luncheon will follow. Private entombment will take place at Holy Cross Mausoleum. Visitation will be in the church on Monday from 10-11 am. Memorials to St. Lucy Altar Sodality or to one's favorite charity have been suggested.

A heartfelt note of thanks to Dr. Robert Gullberg, Harmony Living Center and Seasons Hospice for the compassionate care and support given in Genevieve's time of need. May God bless all of you!
