It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of George Paul Roberts, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, who departed from this life on February 6, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on May 3, 1948, in Downers Grove, Illinois, George lived a life filled with passion, dedication, and love, leaving behind a legacy that will endure in the hearts of those who knew him.

George was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving bravely in key roles both at home and abroad. His commitment to duty was matched only by his love for the great outdoors. He cherished the moments spent camping, fishing, and hiking, finding solace and joy in the beauty of nature. An avid gardener, George took pride in cultivating his vegetable garden, nurturing each plant with the same care and dedication he brought to every facet of his life.

An animal lover at heart, George shared his home with many furry companions over the years, each of whom held a special place in his heart. His warmth extended beyond the animals he cared for, enveloping his family in a love that was both nourishing and steadfast. He was a culinary artist in his own right, known for his delectable pancakes—so perfect that they took on a life of their own in family gatherings, instilling joy and togetherness around the breakfast table.

George was also a sports enthusiast, proudly cheering for Wisconsin's treasured teams, including the Bucks, Brewers, and Packers. He found immense joy in coaching his son's soccer

and basketball teams during his youth, fostering a spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship that his family will carry forward.

In his quiet moments, George found pleasure in Westerns, particularly those starring John Wayne. The stories of courage and resilience mirrored his own approach to life, tackling challenges with unwavering strength and a heart full of hope.He leaves behind his beloved wife, Sally Roberts, who was his partner in adventure and love. Together, they built a life rich with memories, laughter, and unwavering support; daughter, Jessica (Robert) Sadowski; son, Mike Roberts; grandchildren, Everly, Adrianna, and Jaxon; sister, Diane Akowski; sisters-in-law, Susan Wesley, Sharon Wesley; other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.

George is preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Jessie (nee: Clark) Roberts; sister, Pat Roberts; and sister-in-law, Sandra Wesley.

A private family service will be held in celebration of George's life. As we say goodbye to George, let us remember him not with sorrow, but with gratitude for the love, laughter, and lessons he shared with us. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will continue to guide us, cherished in every memory and every heart that he touched.
