Geraldine “Geri” Trepczyk, 85, received the promise of eternal life on Sunday, January 30, 2022. She was born in Waterford, WI, on December 8, 1936, daughter of the late LeRoy and Hilda (née: Boldt) Peterson.

Geraldine was united in marriage to the love of her life, Henry Trepczyk, Sr., on August 2, 1958, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Waterford, WI. Henry preceded her in death on Sunday, March 6, 2016.

Geri graduated from Rochester AG School in 1954. Geri and Henry built a house in Racine after they were married and lived there for 43 years. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Racine for 34 years where she was very active. She was a member of the Sons of Norway for many years and helped with many different aspects of the club.  Geri worked at The Holiday Inn, later renamed to Days Inn, in Racine for 43 years retiring in 2006. In 2006, Geri and Henry retired to Murfreesboro, TN where they were members of Advent Lutheran Church.

Geri had a green thumb and enjoyed her flower gardening. She was an avid sports fan but enjoyed NASCAR and baseball the best. Geri was proud of her large carrousel horse collection. She enjoyed making Christmas ornaments and wall calendars. Above all, her greatest enjoyment came from being with and doting on her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Geri leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Gerlyn (George) Neau of Eldorado Hills, CA; son, Henry “Hank” (Mary) Trepczyk, Jr. of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Chris Neau of Gretna, LA, Jennifer (Flavio) Poenar of Eldorado Hills, CA; great-granddaughter, Adalynn Poenar; sister-in-law, Lorraine Buska of Racine; nieces and nephews, David Berlin, Mike Berlin, Nancy (Dave) Wiese, Stanley Buska, Martha (Dan) Chaveriat, Tom (Janet) Zoller, Harry Buska, Jr., Richie Buska; other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

In addition to her parents and husband, Geri is preceded in death by her brother, Harold Peterson; sister, Shirley (Einer) Berntzen; brother-in-law, Harry Buska, Sr.; niece, Susan Berlin; other aunts, uncles, and cousins too numerous to mention.

A celebration of Geri’s life will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022, 11:00am, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road, with her son-in-law, Pastor George Neau officiating.
