Glenn Edward Boykin, age 55, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 18, 2019. He was born July 25, 1963 to the late James and Lillian Boykin in Racine, Wisconsin. As an adult, he attended Greater Mt. Eagle Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Keith T. Evans.
Glenn received his GED from Gateway Technical College then went on to join the US Army. Glenn was very friendly and never was a stranger to anyone. He was the neighborhood handyman, security man, detailing car man, bartending man, transportation man, dart man, and gaming man. He was a jack of all trades. Glenn loved to be seen and heard. He joked around with his affectious laugh and was the life of the party.
Glenn leaves to cherish his fond memories: his mother, Lillian Boykin of Racine, WI; his son, Marques (Chrystal) Marshall of Racine, WI; his granddaughter, Savannah Marshall of Racine, WI: his grandson, Derrell Pittman Jr. of Olathe, KS; his sisters, Paula Boykin of Racine, WI and Karla (Darren) Bronaugh of San Antonio, TX; his nephew, Jeremy Boykin of Racine, WI; his nieces, Brittney (Jameson) Thompson of Columbus, OH; Kayla Bronaugh of Lenexa, KS, Jaylan, Briana, Brooklyn, Jordan and Jazmyn Boykin of Racine, WI; his longtime girlfriend, Jacqueline Brown of Racine, WI and her entire family and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and other loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his father, James "Spook" Boykin, his maternal and paternal grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
The Celebration of His Life will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019, 11:00am at St. Paul Baptist Church, 1123 Center St., Racine, WI. The visitation will be in the church from 10:00am until the time of service.
