Obituary

Kenosha – Goebel Lee Bellomy, age 58, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on January 23, 2025 from kidney disease. He valiantly fought this disease with unbelievable faith, strength and courage to the end.

Known as Lee, Goebel was born to Goebel and Katie (Flannery) Bellomy on July 1, 1966 in Racine, Wisconsin, the youngest of seven children. Goebel attended William Horlick High School.

He was a very talented drummer and lead vocalist. He joined the Pony Express Band at the age of 17 and went on to form his own group, the Ramblin' Rose Band with his sister Myrna Rae and later the Kickin' Kountry Band. He performed locally and throughout Southeastern Wisconsin and Illinois.

Goebel had a quick wit, enjoyed telling jokes and had a great sense of humor. He loved his family, playing music, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles and electric bike and watching the Green Bay Packers.

Survivors are his sisters Sharon (Donald) Heck, Patricia Bukowiecki, Jill Bellomy, Myrna (Kathy) Bellomy, brother Jerry Bellomy; further survived by nieces: Tracy (Christopher) Cornwall, Kari (John) Hoyle, Amy (Adam) Tappen, Jessica (Ryan) Wilson; nephews: Steven Heck, Jeremy (Melissa) Schilcher, Johnathan (Sara) Bellomy, Rich June and Jerod (Lilly) June; along with former wife Victoria Bellomy and many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, paternal and maternal grandparents, brother Michael, nephew Joshua Sadlon, great-nephew Brendan Sadlon; brothers-in-law Donald Gilbert and Richard June, and sister-in-law Pamela Perman.

A memorial service will be held in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Thursday evening, February 6, 2025 at 6 pm. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 6:00 pm. Interment will take place on the Bellomy family plot at St. George Cemetery on Friday, February 7th at 12:00 noon.

The family would like to thank the Pleasant Prairie Froedtert South Hospital and Kidney Center and Hospice Alliance Hospice House doctors and nurses for their excellent and compassionate care.

Service Details

A memorial service will be held in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Thursday evening, February 6, 2025 at 6 pm. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 6:00 pm. Interment will take place on the Bellomy family plot at St. George Cemetery on Friday, February 7 th at 12:00 noon.
