Obituary

Racine – Gregory Anthony Harris Jr., 31, passed away at Froedtert Medical Center on June 6, 2017 due to injuries suffered in a traffic incident in Kenosha. He was born in Racine on February 6, 1986, son of Gregory and Alicia (nee: Smith) Harris Sr.. Gregory was a lifelong resident of the Racine area and attended  Horlick High School. He was currently working as a CNC operator at R & B grinding.

As a child Gregory enjoyed swimming, collecting basketball cards, poetry and reading. His favorite books were R.L. Stines "Goosebumps". Throughout his life Gregory maintained his passion for poetry, music and art. He was a devoted father, son, brother and uncle. His family and friends will cherish forever his big beautiful smile, his hilarious laugh, and heart of gold.

Gregory is survived by his children: Gregory Anthony Harris III of Racine, Anthony Gregory Harris and Ethan Major Harris of Kenosha; parents Gregory Harris SR and Alicia (Smith) Harris of Racine; brothers and sisters: Tamika Harris, Jeremy Harris Justin (Christine) Harris, Tara (Alexander) Lease, and Tanna Harris; grandmother Lula Smith of Racine; uncles and aunts: Carl (Theresa) Harris, Constance (Elmer Robinson, Clint Harris, Emily Harris, Calvin Harris, Shirley (Brian) Salone, Dephenia (Johnnie) Conley, Selina (Robert) Ruffin, Velma (Rick) Toby, and Claude Wright; a host of other relatives including a special cousin, Roshawn Harris; and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Claude Smith, Carl and Ruth Harris; 2 uncles and 3 aunts.

Homegoing services will be held on Wednesday June 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Greater Mount Eagle Missionary Baptist church with Rev. Keith Evans officiating. Visitation in the church will begin at 9:30 a.m. and continue until 10:45 a.m. Interment at Graceland Cemetery will immediately follow the service. Online condolences at www.draeger-langendorf.com
