Racine – Harry Lee Hinton, Jr. was born on April 21, 1959 to the union of Harry and Luxola (nee: Marshall) Hinton, Sr. in Chicago, Illinois.
Harry accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age at Mt. Eagle Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Willie Riley. Harry received his formal education in the Racine Unified School District and was a proud graduate of Horlick High School in Racine, Wisconsin.
Harry was united in holy matrimony with Patrice Swenson on November 1, 1982 in Racine, WI. Their union was blessed with three beautiful children. He was employed by Racine Steel Casting, Maple Leaf Farms, and Racine Plating Company. He enjoyed gatherings with his family and friends. On August 26, 2012 Harry reunited with Greater Mt. Eagle Baptist Church where Pastor Keith T. Evans is currently the pastor.
Harry Lee Hinton, Jr. departed this life on Monday, March 2, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father Harry Hinton, Sr.; grandparents Benjamin and Annie Marshall, John and Lillie Hinton, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Harry leaves to cherish his memory Mother Luxola Hinton; children Harry (Rachel) Hinton III, Tashanda (Roscoe) Hinton and Jerome (Laura) Hinton; 14 grandchildren Alexus, Tyaira, Orianna, Layliah, Jayliah, Isiah, Jerome, Jr., R'nyiah, Harry IV, Jayceon, Elisianna, Emilo, Elianna and Mataoe all of Racine, WI; five sisters, Frances Hinton, Cynthia (Dan) Jenkins, Nanette (James) Adams and Linda (Donnie) Ivy all of Racine, WI and LaDonna (Kenny) Mathews of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Melvin Hinton and Donald (Gina) Hinton of Racine, WI; aunt Fannie (Jonathan) Davis of Hot Springs, Arkansas; great aunt Vestine Kelly Nun of Atlanta, Georgia; God sister Marie Rainey, special niece Shartavia Oliver, along with many other nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews and two God brothers; Jimmy Mayfield and Prentiss "Boogie" Tatum; special cousin Toni Holton, along with tons of cousins and friends too many to name.
The Celebration of His Life will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020 11:00am at Greater Mt. Eagle Baptist Church, 929 State St., Racine, WI. Pastor Keith T. Evans will be officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00am until the time of service. Interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery.
