Racine– Harry Mussie, 84, passed away at the Lake Forest Hospital in Lake Forest, IL on Wednesday, July 29, 2009. Harry was born in Gary, Indiana on November 25, 1924. He was a graduate of Indiana University and a WWII veteran with the US Navy. On June 25, 1966 he was united in marriage with Doris L. Sovelenko. Prior to retirement, Harry was employed for many years as a financial accounting supervisor by Western Publishing. He also served our Racine community as an alderman and city council member. An avid golfer, he was a 50+ year member of Meadowbrook Country Club. Surviving are his wife, Doris; family members in Illinois; and by many dear friends in Racine too numerous to mention by name. In accordance with Harry's wishes, cremation will take place. Private family services will be held. Interment will be in the S. Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In memory of Harry, memorials to one's favorite charity have been suggested.
