Kenosha – Helen T. (nee: Zimmermann) Koblenski, age 100, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 11, 2013 at St. Joseph's Home in Kenosha.

Helen was born in Kenosha on July 3, 1913 to the late Ferdinand and Christina (nee: Mueller) Zimmermann. On June 1, 1935 in St. George Catholic Church, she was united in marriage with the love of her life, Stanley J. Koblenski, who preceded her in death on February 12, 1982.

With a profound Christian faith, Helen was a faithful member of St. George, now known as St. Elizabeth, Catholic Church. She was employed in the medical records department of St. Catherine's Hospital for over 20 years, retiring in 1975. Among her interests, she enjoyed sewing, knitting with her Knit Wit Club, traveling and getting together with her friends. Above all, she loved and cherished being in the surroundings of her entire family.

Surviving are her children, Barbara (William) Schmitz, Stanley Koblenski, both of Kenosha; and Dennis (Sharon) Koblenski of Delafield; grandchildren, Janet (Roger) Meisbauer, Bill (Chris) Schmitz, Mark (Tina Martinelli) Schmitz, Margaret McCune, Kelly Koblenski, Sam (Natalie) Koblenski, Lisa (Timothy) Stenner, Simon Koblenski; Eric and Daniel Meisbauer; great-grandchildren, Dakota and Kalie McCune; Ariel Maxcy; Lilly and Ian Koblenski; Alexis Schmidt; Koby and Kaylese Stenner; and Robbyn Struck; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends – too numerous to mention by name.

In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Martha Koblenski; brothers, Carl and Henry Zimmermann; and sisters, Frieda Thomas and Margaret DeLaurier.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 11:00 am in St. Elizabeth Catholic Church (4816 – 7th Avenue) with Rev. Sean Granger officiating. Interment will follow in St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be in the church on Thursday from 10-11 am. Memorials to St. Elizabeth Church, for Masses in memory of Helen, has been suggested.
