Helen S. Cram, 84, died at St. Mary’s Medical Center on Tuesday, August 15, 2006. She was born in Bialystock, Poland on January 8, 1922, the daughter of the late Jan and Mary Swiencicki. Helen moved to the Unites States as a young girl. A loving mother, Helen worked hard as a single parent in order to provide for her two boys. She owned and operated Old World Sausage in Kenosha for many years. In her younger years, Helen was an avid gardener, swam regularly at the KYF and was a phenomenal cook. Her survivors include her loving sons, Tom (Mary Triano) Cram of Tucson, AZ John (Matt Chambers) Cram of Asheville, NC; dear friend, Erv Phegley of Racine; many other relatives including, dear cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Martha Labanowich, Agnes Zengota, Peter, Siegmund, Joe and Alex Swiencicki and Roman Scott. A service celebrating Helen’s life will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Friday, August 18, 2006 at noon with Rev. Tony Larsen officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. There will be a visitation in the funeral home on Friday from 11 until the time of the service. Helen’s family wishes to thank Erv Phegley and Annie Chasar for the years of loving care and friendship they provided her over the years.
