Racine – Horacio “Grandpa” Ramirez-Hernandez, age 81, passed away at his home on Thursday, March 26, 2020.

Horacio was born in Mexico on October 25, 1938 to Pedro Ramirez and Taide Hernandez. With a profound work ethic, he worked at Kenosha Beef and, later in life, owned & operated Casa Ramirez on Racine Street. Grandpa was a true family man who enjoyed cookouts; watching Braylen ride his bike and playing dominoes with him; shooting pool, and spending time with all his loved ones -especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Grandpa also loved spending time with his significant other Maria Gonzalez. He will be loved and missed by many.

Surviving are his children, Enriqueta Estrada, Rosa Isela Ramirez, Daniel Ramirez, Hector Ramirez, Gricelda Guerra, Herman Ramirez, Elda Nunez, Maria Ramirez and  Tonio Chairez; many cherished grandchildren & great-grandchildren; brothers, Eleazar Ramirez and Humberto Ramirez; nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. In addition to his parents, Grandpa was preceded in death by his wife, Maria De Los Angeles Chairez-Ramirez.
