STURTEVANT – Ignacio "Nacho" Ynocencio, Sr., 68, passed away at his home with his family by his side on Monday, June 11, 2018.

He was born in Racine on February 1, 1950, the son of the late Feliciano and Seledonia (nee: Cruz) Ynocencio.  Nacho was number five in line of fifteen children; he had six brothers and eight sisters all of which he held very close to his heart.  He was a student at Park High School.  On February 8, 1969, he married his sweetheart, Elma Leal in Waukegan, IL. ,

Nacho was proud to retire from JI Case after 34 years of hard work and was a member and steward of Local Union 180.  He was a longtime member of Cristo Rey Parish and currently St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Music was one of many passions Nacho enjoyed in his life; he played the guitar, bass and keyboards in several different bands throughout his life.  In his younger years he played softball and was used as the clean up hitter often hitting the ball into the river at Island Park tournaments.  He was also a huge fan of the Packers and Yankees.  However, he was happiest when he was in the company of his family and close friends; especially his grandson, Tye.  They watched numerous old black and white movies and enjoyed many nights roasting marshmallows together around the fire pit.

In addition to his loving wife, Elma, he is survived by his son, Ignacio "Nacho" Ynocencio, II; his daughter, Gina (Michael Jeffrey) Ynocencio of Sturtevant; his grandson, Tye Monteiro; his brothers George Ynocencio and David Ynocencio; his sisters Mary Jane Servantez, Yolanda Ynocencio, Linda Garcia, Sally Hebling, Diana (Philip) Hebling, Alma Ynocencio, Catherine Ynocencio (Ken Pope) and Athena Ynocencio; as well as many dear nieces and nephews too numerous to list.  He is further survived by special friends Richard and Bonnie Muniz and special nephews Kyle Pope aka his "Kylinski" and Tony "little buddy" Garner.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Sostenes Ynocencio, Eugene Ynocencio, Feliciano Ynocencio, and Ishmael Ynocencio and brother-in-law Thomas Hebling.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Sunday, June 17, 2018 for a visitation from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. The celebration of his life and funeral Mass will take place at St. Patrick Catholic Church (1100 Erie Street) on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.  There will also be a visitation in the church on Monday from 10-11 a.m.  A private interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family have been suggested.
