Racine, WI – On Sunday, April 1, 2018, the spirit of our Dear Loved One, Indiana (nee: Perkins) Williams departed this life at her residence in Racine, WI. Indiana was born on July 4, 1929 in Greenwood, MS to the late Woodson and Ella Mae (nee: Oliver) Perkins Sr. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, the late Horace Williams. Together they moved to Racine, WI in January of 1966. She was employed with Modine as a Domestic Worker for a short while and was a homemaker most of her life. Indiana was a foster parent to many, too numerous to name. She loved spending time with her friends and family and enjoyed hosting events and entertaining them.
She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memories, four sons, Bobbie (Mary) Perkins of Racine, WI, Willie C. (Viola) Williams of Sumner, MS, Kenneth Williams and Endel Williams both of Racine, WI.; two daughters, Carmen Harris and Kathy Williams of Lawton, OK; two brothers, Robert L. (Johnnie) Perkins and James (Annie) Perkins all of Chicago, IL; one brother-in-law, Matthew Thomas Sr. of Racine, WI. Indiana is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other special relatives and friends.
Indiana was preceded in death by her husband, parents, granddaughter, Barbara Goss; great grandson, Deloncey Perkins; three sisters, Ethel Lindsey, Margrie Thomas and Mary Ann Carter. three brothers, Woodson Perkins Jr., Eugene Perkins and Dan Perkins.; two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law.
Special thanks to her granddaughter Lisa Lawson and great granddaughters, Ashley Perkins and Octavia Barfield, for caring for her so diligently during her last years.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 11:00 am, in the Chapel of Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home. Visitation will be the funeral home from 10:00am until the time of service

I will never forget the day when i was a Kid and i was cussing 🤬 and i didn’t see her on the porch she lit into me ! I never forget that day ! Lol She always treated me and my brother like family. She was a great woman Going to miss her!
