Irene House Pearson, 79, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday November 26 ^, 2023. Irene was born in Brownsville, Tennessee on July 4, 1944, to her late father Mossie Jelks and mother Jettie Anderson Jelks. She was also preceded in death by her late husband, Robert Louis Pearson. She is survived her sisters, Betty Louis Newby, by her brother, Ewell Jelks. Irene House can be described as a generous and forgiving woman that often maintained an open heart and door to those in need. Above all else she cherished giving without an expectation of anything in return – Irene House children are as follows: four daughters, one of whom she was preceded in death by Nyra House; the remaining three are as follows; Earlene House, Charlene (Ernest) Massie, Sarah House, and her son, Charlie House Jr.  She has a multitude of grandchildren all whom  loved her dearly.  She is survived by twenty-three grandchildren and forty-two great-grandchildren, whose lives she celebrated with pride and photographic tributes upon the walls of her home. Irene House made the ultimate sacrifice as a young woman by adopting  her grandson, Jeffery House, whom she loved and cherished and protected! She raised him as though he was her very own son. She is survived by her brother and sister – to know Irene House is to love her – accept her expectation of putting you to work the moment your foot had stepped into 1020 11 ^th Street. Her favorite saying was, "She paid the cost to be the boss and if you didn't like it, well there was door." Unapologetically, she was the heart and soul of the House family lineage. Special mention to niece, Vernedia McClain, Dannie Gordon, special niece, Valencia Becksham, and Dewight Moore and Kenny Simmons.

There will be a luncheon in memory of Irene on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Infusino's Restaurant, 3225 Rapids Drive.
