Mrs. Irene Soderman, 94, died at her residence on Monday, May 15, 2006. She was born in Rome, WI on July 11, 1911 to the late Anton and Mary (nee: Danek, Kotas) Smutny. On May 21, 1938, she married Bert Soderman in Crown Point, IN. Mrs. Soderman worked for Walker Manufacturing and Hamilton Beach. Her survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, David and Lisa Soderman; grandson, Bryan Kroes; son-in-law, Tom (Judy) Kroes all of Racine; brother-in-law, Harold Knuth of Florida; a niece and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bert; daughter, Leilani Kroes; step-father, Charlie Kotas; sisters; Emma Jaros, Millie Knuth and brother, Erv (Sophie) Kotas. A private family service was held. Burial took place next to her husband in Bohemian National Cemetery in Caledonia. A very special thank you to Krissy Draves and family for the loving care Irene received during her final years.
