Racine, WI –  Irma Jean (nee: Reed) King was born in Natchez, Mississippi on March 9, 1957 to Luella (nee: Johnson) and Clifton Reed. She graduated from Washington Park High School in Racine, Wisconsin and she went on to earn her degree in Social Work from University of Wisconsin – River Falls. She was united in marriage to Danny King Sr.

Irma was a former court reporter for Racine County. She dedicated most of her time to being a mother to her three children and grandmother of ten. She also devoted much time to helping her parents with whatever they needed. She always made sure she let her family and friends know just how much she loved them. Irma was always ready and willing to help with whatever project she could at Dominion Church of God M.P.G.T. where she held membership.

Irma, age 64, passed away on Saturday July 10, 2021. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband Danny King Sr.; children Franciscus Love, Katelin and Danny King Jr.; grandchildren Jediah, Jalen, Dupree, Mykol and Ja'nye Love, Rhys and Rhyan McCoy, Preston Robinson, Future and McQueen King; her mother Luella Wainwright; father Clifton Reed; sisters Debra (Kelvin) Weatherspoon, Trina (William) Berryman and Shalby Reed; brother-in-law Ozell Taylor; aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and a host of other relatives friends.

Irma was preceded in death by her brother Clifton Reed Jr.; sisters Sheila Kay Taylor and Jacqueline Sue Reed.

The Celebration of Her Life will be held Saturday, July 24, 2021 1:00pm at Dominion Church of God M.P.G.T., 402 9th Street, Racine, WI. Visitation will be at the church from 11:00am – 1:00pm.
