Racine– J. Craig Cameron, age 69, passed away unexpectedly at home, with his wife of 46 years, Carol, by his side on Saturday, October 12, 2013.

Craig was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 23, 1944 to the late James D. and Doris (nee: Burr) Cameron. He was a graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School in 1962 and Grove City College in 1966. On September 2, 1967, he was united in marriage with the love of his life, Carol M. (nee: McMillan).

Craig was a funny, educated, devoted family man who always made sure family came first. He leaves behind treasured memories of trips to the Jersey Shore, winters in Arizona, Disney vacations and cruising in all of his Ford Mustangs. Craig retired in 1999 after a successful career with Modine Mfg. and the Ford Motor Company.

He leaves behind the loves of his life – wife, Carol of Racine; daughter, Cheryl Cameron, M.D. of Fox Point; son, Corey (Wendy) Cameron of Gilbert, AZ; grandson, Connor Cameron; special "Cuz", Ginny Morris; and too many close relatives and treasured lifelong friends to mention all by name –including his furry friends, Chief & Shadow.

In addition to his parents, Craig was met at the Rainbow Bridge to enter the gates of heaven by his canine companions, Chapman, Cooper & Chance.

A Memorial Service celebrating Craig's life will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 11:00 am with Rev. John Fleming officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday from 9:30-11:00 am. In accordance with Craig's wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Diabetes Association or to the family have been suggested. A special note of thanks to Carlynn Crevier, M.D. for all the compassionate care and support.
