Racine – Jacqueline Simmons was 60 years old. Born July 15,1956 in Ripley, Mississippi to Elizabeth Gregory and Walter High.   The fourth oldest child of five siblings, three sisters and one brother Barbara, Judy, Patsy and Kenny. They all shared a brotherly and sisterly bond. It was no secret Pat and Jackie's bond was stronger than the other siblings. Just 11 months apart they would be the same age for one month. Jackie grew up the remainder of her life living in Racine. As a child she attended Winslow Elementary School and Gifford Middle School, and completed her education at Case High School. Jackie bore three children in this chronological order; Rashiek Simmons, Walter Slack, and Romeo Slack. She was blessed with five grandchildren, London Slack, Rashieka Simmons, Roman Slack, Honesty Miller, and LaTraveon Butler. She had a profound love for her nephew Cornelius Simmons, aka, Tah Neilyee, aka, Black Boy; her niece Alpheius Simelton, aka Nina, whose nicknames were given to them by her. Hamin also was a nephew she found a more special bond with but nonetheless she loved all her nieces and nephews in her own unique way. A kind loving and devoted mother, she was doing numerous and outgoing activities with her children, nieces and nephews was a notable characteristic of Jackie. Humorous and entertaining with her funny faces she would make was a guaranteed laugh to whomever was around. Cooking Mexican food is where she reigned "Queen Supreme", she also enjoyed it as well. Mexico Lindos was her favorite and nonetheless she could duplicate their same flavor if not out do it. Going to the movies, renting movies and picnics at Petrified Springs were some of her most loved activities. Telling stories of her childhood and all the fun she had with her beloved cousins were priceless. Jackie was a very loving "people person" who valued friendship whole heartedly. She would give you anything she could to help you out and would also without hesitation tell you about yourself if she felt you were the problem of your mishaps. To have known or knew Jackie one can say she was classic. You just don't come across people like her much in life. She was special to all that encountered her presence, a memorable impression she was destined to leave here on earth with whom she considered family and friends. Doing things the way she saw fit and living her life till it was time to check out was the way it was with Jackie. She wouldnt have it no other way. In the famous words of Jackie "I'M GOING TO BED. I'LL TALK TO YOU LATER…GOODNIGHT"

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Thursday, December 1, 2016 for a visitation from 10-11 a.m.   Her funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m.
