James "Jim" Thomas Forsyth

Mar 21, 1943 – Oct 30, 2025

Service Details

According to Jim’s wishes, no funeral or memorial services will be held.

James “Jim” Thomas Forsyth, age 82, of Racine, passed away on October 30, 2025.

He was born in Darien, Wisconsin, on March 21, 1943, to John and Lois (nee: Krabbe) Forsyth. Jim lived most of his life in Kenosha and Racine. He graduated from Bigfoot High School and attended UW Whitewater. He worked as an R&D Engineer and retired from Abbott Laboratories in the 1990s. Jim was a man of few words but always the one everyone called when something needed fixing. His gruff demeanor hid a loyal, caring heart, and his dry sense of humor showed up exactly when you needed it most. If Jim couldn’t fix something, it was beyond broken. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, competitive target shooting, and watching the Packers. He was happiest outdoors with his loyal dog, Otis.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra (nee: Mohr); his children, Candace (Jeff) Isetts-Williams, Steven Forsyth, Cassandra Isetts, Cynthia Isetts, and Catherine (Travis) Decker; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Conor Isetts.
