James Walter Kucharski, age 88, passed away peacefully in his sleep, with his wife, Nancy, & granddaughter, Katie-Lynne, at his side, on Thursday, June 25, 2026.
A lifetime resident, Jim was born in Racine on May 12, 1938 to the late Walter and Anne (nee: Klimek) Kucharski. He attended Saint Stanislaus Grade School and St. Catherine's High School. On October 21, 1961 in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, he was united in marriage with the love of his life, Nancy Ann (nee: Tutak).
With a strong work ethic, Jim was employed as a machinist / programmer with the Dumore Corporation for 38 years, until the company moved to Mauston, WI. Following, Jim joined the team at Beere Tool (later known as Beere Precision Products) for 15 years until he retired.
Jim was a longtime member of St. Lucy Catholic Church where he volunteered many years at the annual St. Lucy Festival. He was quite the athlete, having played on the Dumore softball and basketball teams; enjoyed being outdoors while golfing, fishing, hunting, gardening and could often be found searching the skies with his binoculars in hopes of locating a bird, plane or helicopter in flight. Above all, Jim loved being together with his entire family.
