Phillip was educated at Janes, Washington Junior & William Horlick High School. After earning a machinist degree from MATC, Phillip was employed at JI Case & Jacobsen Mfg.

Born with a passion for extraordinary art, where he gained his nickname "Sketch Pad" for his coming to life drawings. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, ice skating, history, cartoons & years ago, was an accomplished gymnast.
