James A. Nondorf Sr., 85, of Racine, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 22, 2025. Mr. Nondorf was born in Chippewa Falls, WI on January 9, 1940, the son of the late John Henry and Marcella (nee: Koepel) Nondorf.
Mr. Nondorf was a graduate of St. Catherine High School, Class of '58. On December 2, 1961, in St. Edward Catholic Church, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Dianna Jean Seline. She preceded him in death on November 24, 2021. Mr. Nondorf had been employed by various companies here in Racine, including Webster Electric, where he was the Supervisor of Maintenance. He was a staunch member of St. Lucy Catholic Church, where he served as the Council Secretary. Mr. Nondorf could often be seen at Daily Mass. He was an avid Cubs Fan.
Surviving are his two children, Patricia "Patti" (Jeff Killips) Nondorf-Gill, of Phelps, WI, and James A. (Julie) Nondorf Jr., of Racine; four grandchildren, Michael Gill, Lucas (Carissa) Gill, Andrew Gill, and Willow Jean-Ann Nondorf; two great-granddaughters, Adley Jean Gill and Macy Mae Gill; six siblings, George Nondorf, of Racine, Mary (Harlan) Schoen, of Kenosha, Dennis (Pat) Nondorf, of Sturtevant, Cubby (Donna) Nondorf, Theresa Urban, all of Racine, and Tony (Pat) Nondorf, of Stillwater, OK; two sisters-in-law, Kathy (Paul) Thomas, of Caledonia, and Deb Seline, of Shawano, WI. His nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive him. In addition to his parents and beloved wife, Mr. Nondorf was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Nondorf, and sister, Betty Fisher.
There will be a Memorial Mass, at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Ave. on Friday, June 6th at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery Hwy 32.
