James Arthur Seitz, age 88, passed away at Ascension All Saints Hospital on Sunday, July 26, 2026.

Jim was born in Spencer, WI to Franklin and Helen (nee: Martin) Seitz on August 30, 1937. Jim spent many years as a restaurateur and bartender. On December 26, 1992 he was united in marriage with Patricia Dankert. Among his interests, Jim spent his leisure time snowmobiling, deer hunting, fishing and being a guide for fishing excursions; he took great pride in his cooking, especially Italian dishes; over the years, Jim owned and operated Deer Lodge, Club 13 in Park Falls, WI and Northern Aire Supper Club in Hurley, WI; he enjoyed testing his skills at the horses with many visits to Arlington Park in IL; and he was an avid fan of the Packers, Brewers and Bucks.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia; children, Mark Seitz, Cari Noha (Mike Wachholder), Karen Hamilla, Richard Bilder and Shaun Dankert (Becky Pergande); granddaughters, Sharon (Jeremy) Kucharski, Alise and Jolie Hamilla; great grandsons, Onyx Mayhew, Aiden Bergman and Colson Kucharski; brother, Dean (Edith) Seitz; sister-in-law, Tina Seitz; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. James was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Helen; son, Steve Seitz; brother, Gary Seitz; sister, Karen Shannon.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Jim at The Hideaway, 9643 S. 76 ^th Street, Franklin, WI 53132 on Saturday, August 8, 2026 beginning at 12:00PM.
