Jamie M. Buss, age 71, earned her Heavenly wings on May 21, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, kindness, hardwork and love that will never be forgotten. The last couple of years were a challenge that she faced with grace and faith.

Jamie is survived by her sisters, Elizabeth (Dennis) Durik and Cecelia Krepelan; step-children, William and Allison Buss; brother-in-law, Victor Pier; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Liz (nee: Vassh) Krepelan; sister, Michaelene Pier; nephews, Mikey Pier and, most recently, Sean Putzer; and significant other, Gene Spitzer.

She worked many positions in the food service industry, starting as hostess….and eventually taking on responsibilities of ordering & managing food preparations at various institutions. In later years, Jamie & Gene volunteered on the transport team at State Fair Park.

Jamie's family would like to extend a special thank you to Avina Crossroads Healthcare and to Badger Hospice, especially nurse Catherine, for the compassionate care & support given in Jamie's time of need.

A remembrance gathering will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at Green Ridge Condominiums Rec. Center (1412 Windsor Way – Mount Pleasant, WI  53406) from 2:00 – 6:00 pm. In memory of Jamie, offer a kind deed to someone in need.
