Jane Marie Scheller, 98, of Racine, passed away at St. Monica's Senior Living on Monday, March 16, 2026. She was born in Racine on October 27, 1927, the daughter of the late James C. and Marie C. (nee: Poulson) Jensen.

Jane was a graduate of Washington Park High School. On March 5, 1983, here in Racine she was united in marriage to Donald M. Scheller. She was a very active member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, where she ushered, sang in the choir, and assisted Don when he was the videographer.

Surviving are her husband, Don; her children, Michelle Humphries, and Dale (Sherry) Luedtke, all of Houston, TX;  Don's children, Christine Carpino, of Racine, Mary Jo (Gary) Schaub, of the Villages, FL, and Kerry Scheller, of Franklin grandchildren, Tina (Jim) Bronson, Rikki (Kyle) McDaniel, and Riley (Hope) Toth, Carrie (Brad) Tubbs, Kate (Bobby) Brunnelson, Sarah (Don) Rushford, Mike (Sarah) Scheller, Cassie (Kyle) Hibbard, Richard Scheller, Jim (Stephanie) Hupp and Jeff (Sarah Zeilinski) Hupp; and  numerous great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her first husband, Ernie Luedtke, daughter, Renee (Tom) Toth, extended children, sons Richard Scheller, Tom Scheller, son-in-law Mike Carpino, grandson, Nicholas Scheller, and seven siblings.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staffs of St. Monica's Senior Living and the St. Croix Hospice for the loving care extended to Jane and her family.

Service Details

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring St., at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 26 ^th . Visitation will be at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery.
