Racine – Javaris Wainwright, age 28, passed away at Froedtert South in Pleasant Prairie on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.

Javaris was born in Racine to Lloyd and Gebrail (nee: Oatis) Wainwright. He graduated from Park High School in 2012. Javaris worked as a forklift driver for various local manufacturing companies. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Javaris was always ready for a game of basketball, playing craps, and going to Arlington Park to watch horse racing.

Javaris is survived by his father, Lloyd and mother, Gebrail; stepfather, James Barker and stepmother, Tina Jackson; sisters, Nakesha and Shakaira Wainwright (Yasin Mahdi); brothers, Morell Wainwright and Demario Oatis; grandmothers, Ruth Healy and Annie Oatis; nephews, Charles Famous, Jr. and Isaiah Scaife. Javaris is also survived by members of the Wainwright, Oatis and Hargrove families, in addition to his aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives. Javaris was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Rev. John A. Oatis and John Blakey.

Service for Javaris will be held at 4:00PM on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 4600 County Line Road, Mount Pleasant, WI 53403. His family will meet with relatives and friends beginning at 3:00PM until the time of service.
