Obituary

Racine, WI –

Ja'Vontae Martrise Everton was born on December 11, 1988 in Racine, Wisconsin to Devlyn Everton and Johnny Walrup.

Ja' Vontae "Vontae" held various positions since the age of 17.  He was a very devoted and hardworking man where whatever he wanted he worked hard for it.  Vontae loved his cars, his house, and listening to R & B slow jams.  Vontae loved watching Unsolved Mysteries, also known as "Kill, Kill" in Vontae's voice.

Ja'Vontae loved his nephew Bobby.  He was a family man that would go to the moon and back for his family.  Everybody that knew Vontae knew he had a heart of gold and a mouth that didn't mind speaking his peace to anybody, but I bet you got the hint when he started preaching.  You may not like what he said at times, but what he said stuck with you and that's something to cherish for the rest of your life.

Ja'Vontae Martrise Everton departed this life on May 16, 2020. Ja'Vontae leaves to cherish his memory his mom Devlyn Asberry and his dad Johnny Walrup; his sisters, Nakeeta, Sherika, Jaylin and Emma; brothers, Ja'Landre, Jeremy, Johnny, Julian and David; grandmother's, Emily Everton and Emma Smith; three aunties and one uncle.  Ja'Vontae always advocated for his family and friends, he was always there to offer support.  Vontae was adored by his nephews, nieces and many other loving family members. He's also survived by two good friends Reshaun and Trayron; his best friend Jimmy; godsisters, Chambira Graves and Rakeeta Jamison; godbrother Adrian Poe as well as a many, many friends too numerous to list by name.

Ja'Vontae was preceded in death by his two grandfathers, two aunties, two uncles and one best friend.
