Racine – Jean Mildred (nee: Scheller) Dunk, 76, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2009. Jean was born in Racine on July 3, 1932 to the late Edward F. and M. Louise (nee: Sorensen) Scheller. Jean had an exceptional sense of humor and fun. She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening and needle crafts. She also provided love and care for her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-nephews and nieces. On November 24, 1951 she married Daniel Lee Dunk of Racine. She is much loved and is survived by their children, Daniel (Dawn) Dunk of Racine, LeaAnn (Donald) Klein of Sturtevant, Brian (Laurie) Dunk of Mosinee, Kerry (Jeanne) Dunk of Oshkosh, Phillip (JoAnn) Dunk of St. Louis, MO, Barbara Klasinski of Mosinee and Jane (Peter) Maher of Hartford; grandchildren, Lisa, Eric, Nick, Alicia, Katlyn, Cassie, Lauren, Caleb, Ryan, Steffanie, Anthony, Paige and Emily; step grandchildren Stacey and Heather, foster grandchild Ashley; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Samantha, Zoey, Aiden, Ava, Jordan, Bree and Logan; 6 step grandchildren; sister-in-law Delores Scheller, sister-in-law Virginia Scheller, brother-in-law James Dunk, brother and sister-in-law Robert (Judy) Tinnen, brother and sister-in-law Eugene (Judy) Dunk and brother-in-law William Mousseau. Jean is further survived by special family members, Eileen (Randy) Gales, Michael (Diane) Dunk, Colleen (Cliff) Kogutkiewicz, Cindy Dunk, Christopher (Sue) Dunk, Thomas (Sue) Dunk, James (Sarah) Dunk and their children and many other beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years; Daniel L. Dunk, brother Edward Scheller, brother Thomas Scheller, sister-in-law JoAnn Larson, sister-in-law Janice Mousseau and brother-in-law Thomas Dunk. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2009 with Pastor Pam Kerschner officiating. Visitation with family members will be held before services from 9:30 until time of service.
