Jermaine Da Monte White, referred to by many as “Maine,” passed away on February 14, 2026.

Jermaine was born on November 18, 1973, in Los Angeles, California, to his mother Lorraine Perry and Otis White.

Jermaine was raised in Los Angeles CA. During his adolescence, Jermaine found his love for the freedom of entrepreneurship and how far it could take him. This is where his ambition in creative writing sparked into a lifelong passion. He later studied Culinary Arts at Gateway Technical College, sharpening his skills and deepening his love for cooking. In time, he made his home in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where his cheerful personality and care for others led him to be well known and loved by many family, friends and members of the community.

As a multifaceted entrepreneur and author, Jermaine had a love for life. He was committed to his ideas and worked to build meaningful moments and stories through his words. With vision and creativity, writing was more than just a craft for Jermaine—it was a God given talent. In addition to his love for writing, he also enjoyed, cooking, fine dining, traveling, biking and reading. Whether preparing a gourmet meal, exploring new places across the country, or just out having a good time. Jermaine truly loved life and made the most of every moment.

Jermaine is survived by; Lorraine Perry (mother), Cameron Carter White (son), Clorine Perry (Aunt), Vanessa Gilliam (Aunt), Francedia Johnson (Aunt), Johnny Henry “Black” Perry (Uncle), Willie Lee Jackson (Uncle), Anthony Dwayne “Paydog” Gilliam(Uncle), Frank Micheax III(Cousin), Kicheka Baltrip (Cousin), LaTeisha Denice Hayes(Cousin), Vikki Lynn Curl(Cousin), Francine Dunson(Cousin), and Paile Gilliam(Cousin).

He was preceded in death by; Mary Louise “Who Banger” Gilliam (Grandmother), Victor Glenn Perry (Uncle), Bennie Charles Gilliam (Uncle), Frank Micheax Jr (Uncle), Kenneth Bernard Jr (Cousin), Bobby Lee Dunson Jr (Cousin).

Jermaine was known for his warm heart, his enthusiastic spirit, and his ability to light up a room and bring a smile to those around him. He lived everyday as if it were his last and approached each day with gratitude and purpose. Something we can all strive to carry into our own lives.

A Homegoing Service will be held at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, at 12 p.m. CST on Sunday March 1st with the visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. CST.

Jermaine “Maine” White will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
