MOUNT PLEASANT – Mr. Jerome E. Madsen, 83, passed away at Aurora West Allis Medical Center on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.
Jerry was born in Racine on August 21, 1943, the son of the late Edward and Ethel (nee Andersen) Madsen. He graduated from Racine Washington Park High School, Class of 1961.
Jerry worked for many years at Webster Electric. After the company closed, he worked and retired from Thermal Transfer as their Production Scheduler.
He was baptized at Holy Communion Lutheran Church and remained a lifelong member. Jerry was also a member and past President of the Racine Dairy Statesmen Barbershop Chorus and the Dairy Statesmen Churchsingers. He also served as Associate Bethel Guardian of Job's Daughters, Bethel #22 for many years.
Jerry enjoyed playing sheepshead with his friends and any card games with his family, especially Cribbage. He was the happiest in the company of his family.
Jerry is survived by his daughters, Heidi Madsen, Kimberlie (Todd) Standiford; his grandchildren, Christopher (Holly) Hartmanstorfer, Matthew (Lakisha) Hartmanstorfer, Manda Liertz, Brian Hartmanstorfer, and Abbey (Brandon) Davitz; 10 great grandchildren, Jerome, Hayden, Payton, Jeremiah, Brycen, Parker, Paxton, Jasper, Maxine, Charlotte and little girl, Jelly Bean on the way in December; his sister, Judy Madsen; his sister-in-law, Evelyn Madsen; and his son-in-law, Wayne Dake.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Madsen.
Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Thursday, October 8, 2026 for a visitation from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. A service celebrating his life will follow at 6:00 pm with Rev. Mark Doidge officiating. A private interment will take place at Mound Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
