Racine – Jerry Luvel Goines was 61 years of age when he entered eternal rest at his home on June 3, 2010. He was born May 21, 1949 in Enterprise, MS to Luvel and Lola (nee: Hunter) Goines. On February 5, 1972, he was united in marriage with Willie Mae McMillian. He was an avid fisherman, loved music, cars and people, but his greatest love was for his family. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Willie Mae; and children Cicely, Natalie, Angela, and Desira Goines of Racine, and Alex (Marisol) Goines of Milwaukee; grandchildren, Quintin, DeMario, and Aiden Goines, Jalen Chapple, Brianna, Stephanie, and Ashli Price; his mother, Lola Goines; and brothers, Danny Goines of Racine, and Joey (Patricia) Goines of Lake Ivanhoe; sisters, Carolyn Price, Ella Turner, Brenda Grimes, Victoria (Edward) Jones all of Racine, Loretta Goines of Toledo, OH, and Bonnie Andrews of Phoenix, AZ; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Luvel Goines; and two nieces Erica Jones, and Audrey Goines. Funeral services will be held at Midtown Church of Christ, 1704 13th Street, on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 11 a.m. with Bro. Howard Puryear officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
