Joanne Presta

Oct 10, 1935 – Jul 26, 2010

Sturtevant- Joanne Presta (“Pudy”) of Sturtevant, 74, passed from this world July 26, 2010 surrounded by her children, at the Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie, WI. 

Joanne was born in Racine, WI on October 10, 1935.  She will be sadly missed and remembered for her non-stop sense of humor, her generosity, her busy sewing machine and her love of cooking.

Joanne is survived by her children Kristi (Fred Sitzberger) Heather, Perry Frank Presta and Luanne (Teddy) Gall, her grandchildren Daniel and Chad Gall, her faithful companion Itsey Bitsey, nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many friends near and dear to her heart, especially her club girls.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Louis Frank Presta, her parents Geraldine (Joseph) Kamla and Harold Mortensen, her sisters Beverly Wise (“Puzzy”) and RoseMarie Pasternak (“Tinky”) and her brother Gerald Mortenson (“Deke”).

Friends and relatives may meet with the family in the chapel at West Lawn Memorial Park, 9000 Washington Ave., from 10:00 am– 12 noon on Wednesday, July 28, 2010.   At Joanne’s request, there will be no funeral service and entombment will be held privately.   

Contributions to Hospice Alliance of Pleasant Prairie, WI are suggested in lieu of flowers. 

The family wishes to extend its sincere thanks to Dr. Michael Mullane and all his staff.
