John Berardi

vet
Oct 4, 1948 – Aug 12, 2025

Service Details

Hope City Church, located at 212 11th Street, Racine, WI, will be holding a praise and worship service in remembrance of John on Thursday, September 18th at 4:30 pm. All friends are invited to come together and celebrate John’s life and legacy alongside his brothers and sisters in Christ.

John Berardi went home to be with the Lord on August 12th, 2025, in Lady Lake, Florida. While his passing feels far too soon, we celebrate the vibrant life he lived and the impact he made on everyone he encountered.

John was larger than life! Big, bold, and full of passion. He loved to praise and worship and carried a deep hunger for the presence of the Lord. Evangelism wasn’t just something he did; it was who he was. John never met a stranger, and his boldness in sharing the love of Christ touched countless lives.

Whatever John was doing, it was always the best, the biggest, and you had to be part of it. Whether it was a new restaurant, a game of golf, or simply the way he told a story. He lived with extreme passion, yet always in a way that left you inspired.

John was also a successful salesman, bringing the same enthusiasm and energy to his work as he did to every other part of his life. His ability to connect with people was unmatched. John was employed for many years with Custom Construction Services, LLC by longtime friend, Joseph Van Bree. He proudly  served our country with the United States Marine Corps from 1969-71.

Most importantly, John lived his life for Christ. He bore witness to the truth that Jesus, who died for our sins, is the only way to eternal life. His joy, his praise, and his bold testimony about the Holy Spirit left a legacy that continues to shape the lives of family, friends, and all who knew him.

John was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Berardi, on August 16th, 2001, and his dear mother, Beverly Berardi, on February 23rd, 2025.

We went a long way back, to the early 1970s. Softball, golf, a little nonsense, and then one of the best introductions ever. John brought Pastor Scisscoe to my house. Rest in peace my friend. You fought a good fight.

And the good Lord said to J B, job well done good
    and faithful servant
    Blessed to have known you.
Basking in the wonders of eternity.

You were one of the good ones.
You were the reason I got baptized and brought my family to Bethany Temple/ True Life Church—the first place I ever felt God’s presence, it gave me goosebumps and I accepted Him into my life.
You were also the second person to ever give me a $100 tip, and as a teenager 38 years ago, that was such a big deal to me. I never forgot it.
Not too long ago, I was telling my mom what a great man you were—handsome, kind, and full of love for God. I remember saying, Why can’t there be more men like you?

    Thank you—for everything.
Rest easy now… you’re finally HOME.

Testimonials

Cain

I just can’t get over how beautiful everything was for my mom’s funeral. She had a rough last four weeks but your amazing team totally did her justice! I was pretty confused during that hard time, but Brian, you made sure that all the “I”s were dotted and all the “T”s crossed. For that, I thank you. I also would like to thank the amazing team of makeup artists. My mom looked beautiful.
