Obituary

Racine, WI. – In loving memory of John Wesley Brown, who was born February 11, 1972, to Wesley Eggerson and Sherlene C. Booker. John passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 13, 2022.

John was a man of many talents from fixing up houses to working on cars. He was truly a jack of all trades. He would help anybody. He always smiled and had a kind word to say. He loved his children and family more than anything. John loved him some hats! He loved to roller skate, but he said he was retiring from skating this year, and he did.  John was also a very hard worker. He was proud to be named employee of the month in April 2021 at Universal Granite & Marble Co. He was loved like family by the owners and co-workers of UGM.

He leaves to cherish loving memories his sisters, Vivian Cherry of Las Vegas, NV., Ruby McGee of Memphis, TN., and Sheila Eggerson of Racine, WI and brothers, Tony Blackwell, Earl Booker Jr., Shon & Stanley Eggerson all of Racine, WI., Derrick (Brittany) Booker of Joliet, IL and Tony Love of Michigan; his daughters Jessica Brown, De'asia Kidd aka "Peanut", Keyarra McCray, and Kamiah McFarland of Racine, WI and Ja'maria Brown of Milwaukee, WI; his sons, Kamari McFarland, JaVaughn, Johrei, Jalen, Keshuan and Kayden Brown of Racine, WI, Keonte Williams of Milwaukee, WI, Deonte Govan of Irving TX, and Lucci & Kole Vela of Illinois will all forever hold loving memories of their father in their hearts.

John was a proud grandpa to his granddaughters BriLeigh, Avah and Jessence of Racine, WI and Ka'nylah of Milwaukee, WI: his grandsons Kevin, Candy and Damon Acon Jr aka "Fat Mac" by his grandpa, all of Racine, WI.

John never met a child that he did not love and didn't matter if biologically they were his children or not, he had enough love in his heart to love them all!

There are many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many dear friends that will miss him dearly. His special brothers Paris Cotton and Melvin "Melli-Mel" Bumpus both of Racine, WI, and special friend Recquehl Nunn of Arizona, they all loved him, and he loved them very much too.

In addition to his parents Wesley Eggerson and Sherlene Booker, he was preceded in death by his grandfather Henry L. Brown, grandmother Viola C. Brown, and his great-grandmother Katherine McNairy and great-grandfather L.M. McNairy aka "Black Mac" and sister-in-law, Angela "baby" Booker.

In 2016, John made the decision to give his life to the Lord and from that day forth he continued to change and grow his personal relationship with God. He's going to be missed but he is truly at peace and his soul is resting.
