John J. Czosnek, 73, passed away at Ascension – All Saints Hospital on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Racine on November 5, 1948, son of the late John and Lillian (nee: Rau) Czosnek.
John and Jane started their lives together in 1976, 9 years later they were united in marriage on August 24, 1985, at Azarian Marina in Racine.
John loved having a good time with friend and family, hosting parties, and manning the grill every chance he got. He loved the 4 th of July celebration and could always be found sitting amongst his friends and family watching the parade on Main Street. He loved big fireworks displays weather they were being shot off a Harry Azarian's roof or traveling with Jane to find the biggest and brightest. He was a sports fan always rooting for his favorite home state teams, especially the Packers and the Brewers. He enjoyed trips to Elkhart Lake, traveling to see the fall colors with Jane, the Kentucky Derby, Brewers spring training in Arizona, Burning Man in Nevada, or anywhere with a party and a good time. John was also a long-time member of the German Club in Racine.
John leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Jane Czosnek; daughter, Tina (Nicole) Czosnek; grandchildren, Kya Czosnek, Zaden Czosnek; sister, Cathy Ruggaber; brother, Terry (Val) Czosnek; mother-in-law, Lorraine Jensen; sisters-in-law, Jacci (Barry) Brough, June (Bob) Finch; brothers-in-law, Jerry (Anita) Jensen, John (Bertina) Jensen, Jay (Michele) Jensen; godsons, Conor Lalor, Colin Lalor, Erin Lalor; goddaughters; Amber Morrisey, Michelle (Mickey) Davis; special friend, Kathy Dulan ("second wife"); faithful canine companions, Jake and Raven; other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.
In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Robert Jensen; brothers-in-law, James Jensen, Joe (Donna) Jensen; nephew, John Robert; and faithful canine companion, Sambo.
A celebration of John's life will be held AFTER CHRISTMAS ON WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 29, 2021, 5:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 4600 County Line Road. Visitation will be from 3:00pm until the time of the service. The family has suggested memorials to the Cops and Kids Reading Program in Racine.
