John Martin Elsenbroich, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, lost his valiant fight against Parkinson's Disease.  John passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, May 13, at Ignite Medical Resort in Oak Creek. Born on September 18, 1940, John lived a life marked by service, faith, and dedication to his community.

On August 16, 1969, John was united in marriage to the love of his life, Nancy Elsenbroich.  They enjoyed over 54 years together.  Those years were filled with memories of raising their two children, Jennifer and Timothy, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

A proud veteran, John served his country in the United States Army with honor and distinction.  He graduated from Marquette University with a Degree in Speech.  His commitment to service continued in his professional life, where he worked at Channel 10/36 in Milwaukee from 1972 to 1979 and A&E Manufacturing in Racine from 1979 until his retirement in 2008. Throughout his 30+ year career, John contributed his talents and work ethic to each role he undertook.

John's deep faith was evident in his active involvement at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Racine where he held several positions during his 47+ year membership including President and Chief Elder.  He guided his church community with wisdom and compassion, embodying the values he held dear.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and leadership, survived by his devoted wife Nancy; their daughter, Jennifer; their son, Timothy; their beloved grandchildren, Emily and Bryce; and his brother, Gary. John was preceded in death by his parents, Norma and Martin Elsenbroich.

John's life was a testament to the power of faith and the importance of family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.

John's family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Compassus Hospice, Pastor and Ruth Feldscher, the Elders from Holy Cross who visited, and Jon and Terry for their care and compassion during his final days.

Service Details

A visitation will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church (3350 Lathrop Avenue), on Wednesday, May 22 ^nd at 11 am with a service at 12 pm.  Interment will follow at The Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
