John Robert Evinic, 68, of Racine, received the promise of eternal life on Tuesday, August 19, 2014.  He was born in Racine on January 24, 1946, son of the late Charles and Laura (nee: Adel) Evinic.

He was united in marriage to the love of his life, the former Lorette Larrin, who preceded John in death.

John graduated from Racine Lutheran High School in 1965.  He absolutely loved buying and driving cars.  In his younger years, John was an avid hunter.  He regularly attended Faith Lutheran Church in Sturtevant.  John will be dearly missed.

John leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Wendy (Kevin) Coey, Robert Evinic; grandchildren, Christopher Hush, Shelbie Erhardt, Cody Erhardt, Mackenzie Noel, Brock Noel; siblings, Joann (Gus) Priemer, Chuck (Judi) Evinic, Laura (Norm) Helwig, Louise (Doug) Humm, Nancy (Jeff) Haman; special friends, Leone Funk, Cale Funk, Tim Hush; nieces, nephews, and other relatives too numerous to mention.

In addition to his parents and wife, John is preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Hush; nephew, Randy Schauer; and brother-in-law, Al Tratnik.

A celebration of John's life will take place on Friday, August 22, 2014, 12:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road, with Rev. Jeffrey E. Mortensen officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
