John Gary Horton, Sr. Kenosha – John G. Horton, Sr., 56, passed away at Froedtert South Pleasant Prairie on Thursday, March 28, 2024.

A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was born on August 30, 1967 to Gary and Linda (nee Johnson) Horton. He graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School.

John owned and operated "Make it Happen Roofing." He also coached football at Bullen Middle School for many years. In addition to coaching his son, Dakota, John developed and maintained many relationships and lasting friendships with the kids he coached and prepared for high school football at Bradford. John was also an avid gamer and enjoyed watching wrestling and NASCAR and cheering for the Packers and Brewers.

He is survived by his mother, Linda Horton; his sons, Dakota Horton and John Horton, Jr.; his lifelong companion of 26 years, Rhonda Reagles; his grandchildren, Hayley, Jayden, Danika, Daniel, his brother and sister, Steve (Bea) Horton and Kristine Brittich; and four nephews, Robert Stynes, Mason, Ocean and Skyler Horton. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Horton and his brother, Richard Horton.

His family is planning a celebration of life at a later time. He passed surrounded by his loved ones.
