Obituary

John G. Jeninga, 61, won his final battle as he passed into the loving arms of his Lord, Jesus Christ, on January 29, 2011. He was born in the city of Waubach, Limberg, Netherlands on October 24, 1949 the son of Geert and Elfreida (nee: Evers) Jeninga.

John had been employed by Tank Transport. He was a member of the Teamsters.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia Kauffman-Jeninga; his beautiful daughter, Samantha (Matthew) Bukowski, of Homer Glen, IL, his two awesome sons,  Derek Jeninga, of IL, and Christian Jeninga, of Racine; his precious grandchildren, Lucas, Francesca "Frankie", and Olivia Bukowski; parents, Geert and Alfreda Jeninga of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; brother, Andrew (Sharon) Jeninga, of Summit, IL; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Randy Kauffman, of Wausau, Kathleen (Michael) Schlitz, of Knoxville, TN, Susan Kauffman, of Racine, and Ronald (Carrie) Kauffman, of New Albany, IN. His nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends further survive him.

John was preceded in death by his sister Marja Anders and his close friend and mother-in-law Nancy Kauffman, and best friend Al Brown.

His memorial service is scheduled for Monday, February 7, 2011, in the Starlight Outreach Ministries, 2040 Golf Ave., with Rev. John Thomas officiating. Relatives and friends can meet with the family, in the church on Monday, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
