~~Johnnie Ruth Price was born to John T. and Mattie (nee: Hunter) Price in Meridan, Mississippi on March 22, 1954.  She entered into eternal peace on January 31, 2014 at age 59.  Johnnie attended Washington Park High School.  She cherished all of the precious time she spent with family and friends.  Johnnie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Johnnie leaves to cherish her beautiful memories, her soul mate; Eugene Johnson, her children; Christopher Price Sr, Tasha Price, Frederick (Rhonda) Price, Gregory West, Edward Williams and Kevin Claybrooks Jr., grandchildren; Latia, Shayla, Maurisha, Deanna, Shaniqua, Ciera, Whitney, Nesha, Keeyon, Craig, Devirus, Christopher Jr., Fredrick Jr., Amilleon, Noah, Kevin and Wayne, Nineteen great grandchildren, sisters; Laural Mae Johnson, Peggy Price, Nancy Price, Patricia (Carl) Billups and her brother; Victor Price as well as a close friend of the family; Michelle Bruce and Leewauna Odems, who Johnnie Ruth loved as her daughter.

Johnnie was preceded in death by both of her parents, three brothers, two grandchildren, four aunts and two brothers in law.

The family would like to give special thanks to the doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses and other caring staff for all of the tender care provided to Johnnie Ruth and our family during her time at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Hospital.

A celebration of Johnnie Ruth's life will be held in the Draeger – Langendorf Funeral Home Chapel, on Friday, February 7th, at 11am. Visitation will be from 10am until the time of the service in the funeral home. Interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery.  Pastor A.W. Scaife will be Officiating.
