Mount Pleasant – Jordan Scott Benish, age 35, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa. A true warrior throughout his life, Jordan bravely endured three heart surgeries beginning at age 11. On Saturday, December 6, 2025, while visiting the Civil War Museum in Kenosha with his son, he suffered an undetected, ruptured brain aneurysm. Despite the extraordinary efforts of the museum staff, Kenosha Fire and Police, Froedtert South, Flight for Life, and Froedtert Wauwatosa, our beloved Jordan could not be saved.

Jordan was born in Racine, WI, on January 3, 1990, to Timothy and Traci (nee: Peuse) Benish. He graduated from J.I. Case High School in 2009 and began working for the Andis Company later that year, on October 27. Known for his unwavering dedication, he built a 16-year career there and was most recently a robotic machinist.

On September 14, 2013, Jordan married the love of his life, Jessica May Ten Cate. Together, they built a beautiful family grounded in love, laughter, and faith. Jordan and Jessica devoted their lives to their sons, Parker (age 11) and Paxton (age 7), and were joyfully awaiting the arrival of their daughter, Payton, due next week, December 21st.

After a long search for a church home, Jordan and Jessica became members of The Bridge at St. Paul’s Church in Muskego, under the leadership of Pastor Nate Strobel. Jordan deeply appreciated the outdoors—fishing, hunting, taking scenic drives, and lighting fireworks with his boys. He loved traveling, especially to Alaska, and took great pride in cooking, grilling, and preparing daily dinners for his family. Known for his kindness, helpful nature, and frequent joking, Jordan delighted in bringing smiles to those around him as a self-proclaimed comedian. His wife, children, parents, and brother were always his highest priorities.

Jordan is survived by his devoted wife of over 12 years, Jessica; his sons, Parker and Paxton; and his soon-to-arrive daughter, Payton. He is also survived by his parents, Tim and Traci Benish; his brother, Neil J. Joseph; Jessica’s parents, Stephen and Kathryn (nee: Skendziel) Ten Cate; Jessica’s grandparents, James and Arlene Skendziel; brother- and sister-in-law, Stephen J. (Tess) Ten Cate; niece, Wren Ten Cate; special friends, Barney Maldonado and Kenny Schultz; and many adored aunts, uncles, cousins, co-workers, and dear friends—too numerous to list but cherished by Jordan and his family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Robert & Elaine Peuse, Willard & Eleanor Benish, and Stanley & Shirley Ten Cate.

Services celebrating Jordan’s life will be held at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., with Pastor Nate Strobel officiating. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Those wishing to honor Jordan’s memory may make memorial contributions to “Jessica Benish” for the benefit of Parker, Paxton, and Payton.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Pastor Nate, their loving family, the Andis work family, the Gifford School community, and their many friends for the tremendous outpouring of support during this tragic loss. May God bless all of you!

Jordan would remind everyone about his favorite saying: Quit Wishin’…Go Fishin’

Jessica, my heart hurts for you. I’m so deeply sorry to hear about Jordan. I still think about celebrating your wedding at the farm and how excited I was to send those cute clothes for your first baby girl. I love you so much, and I’m holding you all close in my thoughts.
