Racine – Joseph F. Wurster, Sr., 92 passed away at Oak Ridge Care center in Union Grove on Saturday, September 23, 2006. He was born in Racine on December 14, 1913, son of the late Gottlieb and Katherine (nee: Fischer) Wurster. Mr. Wurster was a member of the Teamsters Local 43, and worked as a truck driver at Svendson Brothers, and American Motors. He enjoyed traveling, bowling, and was a great Cubs fan. He loved living in the Ashland Avenue neighborhood. He is survived by his children, Charlotte (Dale) Jewson of Eagle River, Shirley Jung, and Joseph F. (Dorothy) Wurster, Jr. both of Racine, Dennis Wurster of Kinchloe, Michigan, and Sharon Wurster of Arizona; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded by his grandson David William Wurster; his loving partner Virginia Petersen; and 7 brothers and sisters Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Private committal services will be held at Holy Cross Mausoleum following the service.
