Service Details

His funeral service will be heldĀ  in the funeral home on Friday, April 9th, at 11:00 a.m. with his nephew, Pastor Jaime Rivera officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on that Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Juan Romero, 71, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on January 23, 1950.

Mr. Romero spent his early years in Chicago, Illinois where he graduated from Wells High School. He served his country with the U.S. Army. On July 23, 1977 he was united in marriage to Gloria Rodriguez. Mr. Romero had been employed by the Excel Corporation.

Surviving are his loving wife, Gloria; their children, Sandra Martinez, of Dallas, TX, Maria Romero, of Kenosha, Francisco Romero, of Chicago, and Christina (Juan) Torres, of Racine; six grandchildren, Andres Cortez, Anahi Cortez, Azlinn Cortes, Alianna Torres, Azaleah Torres, and Kayla Romero; two sisters, Lydia (Ernesto) Pizarro, of Bellwood, IL, Grace (Dan) Martinez, of Mt. Prospect, IL. His nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Pedro and Maria Romero.
