Juanita Person

Sep 6, 1934 – Aug 1, 2016

 

Racine- Juanita Person 81 years young, passed away peacefully at WFH – All Saints on August 1, 2016.

   She was born in Warren, AK on September 6, 1934 to Forrice and Roxie Finley. She was united in marriage to the late Ellis Person on July 2, 1950 in College Park, Ga. A former Rainfair employee until she retired. She was an active church member at The Greater Mt. Eagle Missionary Baptist Church, serving on the mother board, and a former member of the choir. Surviving are her children, Kathy Love of Oxford, Ms. Ellis Lee (Cindy) Person Jr. of Tracey, Ca. Dwight (Sandra) Person of Racine Wi. Marnita (Lester) Chaney of Houston, TX. Michelle (Robert) Williams of Hampton, Va. and Yvette Person of Windsor, Ct; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren; three God children Sara Carter, ShaVentrea “Sha” Jackson, and Corey Ford; brothers and sisters, Rev. Lee (Thelma) Finley of Warren, AR, Betty Berryhill, Alice (Rev. Willie) Riley, Raleigh “Jim” (Bernice) Finley, Nathaniel “Nick” Finley, Henrietta (Rev. George) Hamilton, Jarvis (Marilyn) Finley, and Rick Finley all of Racine, Wi. special friends, Dorothy Lewis, Mattie McJunkins, and Jerline Jackson; special son- in-law, Major Allgood. She was preceded in death by her husband Ellis, parents Forrice and Roxie, daughter Sherry, and twin brothers.

   Her funeral service will be held at Greater Mt. Eagle Missionary Baptist Church (929 State St.) on Friday, August 12, 2016 with Rev. Keith T. Evans officiating.  There will be a viewing and visitation from 10-11 a.m. Interment will follow at West Lawn Cemetery.
