Judith Ann Cluey, age 92, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded with the love of family, on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
Judy was born in Milwaukee, WI on November 25, 1933 to the late Walter and Rada (nee: Alaxson) Kohl. She was a graduate of Burlington High School. During her career, Judy worked for Johnson Controls and InSinkErator, before she started at Racine Unified School District where she served the children of our community with the hot lunch program, a position she held until the late 1980’s.
On February 20, 1954 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dover, Judy was united in marriage with love of her life, Robert Wayne Cluey. They were longtime members of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. With a beautiful smile and infectious laugh, Judy was a faithful election poll staff member in Mount Pleasant for many years; active board member at Careers (now known as VARC) and Careers Country Craft Board; and was proudly involved with Special Olympics. Judy enjoyed reading, cooking, crossword puzzles, luncheons with her Racine Unified retirees, hosting holidays, and visiting with her entire family & extensive circle of friends.
Surviving are her loving husband of 72 wonderful years, Bob; their children, Ginger, Jeff, David and Tim (Kristin) Cluey; grandchildren, Sandy (Jerry), Rebecka (Neil), Jessica (Phil), Shelby (Molly), Amanda (Avi), Ariana (Seth), Richard (Alyssa), and Dillon (Margret); great-grandchildren, Brittany (Malcom), Allissa (Quentin), Isaiah, Jacob (Raven), Ariel (Austin), Julia (Cameron), Julian, Collin, Emmiana, Kaiden, Israel, Isaac, Judah, Delanie, Kyler, Malina, Khloe, Evengaline, Penny, Catalina, Bowen, Justin, Joey & Libby; seven great-great-grandchildren; canine Maltese companion, Roscoe; sisters-in-law, Gay (Carl) Hastings and Pat Cluey; brother-in-law, Russell (Julia) Cluey; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends – too numerous to mention all by name.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Bresette; brother, Robert Kohl; Bob’s parents, Clarence & Marie (nee: Scheible) Cluey; and brothers-in-law, Raymond & William Cluey.
