Racine – Judith Alta (nee: Loomis) Grabher, age 73; passed away unexpectedly early Thursday morning, November 20, 2014 at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center.
Judy was born in Mondovi, WI on July 24, 1941. On August 26, 1972 at Bethany United Methodist Church, she was united in marriage with the love of her life, Darold Ernest Grabher, who died suddenly of a brain aneurysm at age 40 – on March 5, 1987.
In recent years, Judy attended Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church. Among her interests, she had an extensive Porcelain Doll collection; enjoyed crafts and sewing. Above all, Judy loved spending time with all of her family and friends.
Surviving are her sons, George (AnnMarie) Grabher and Brian Grabher (Jessica Seidel); grandchildren, Alexander, Isabella and Ellyana Grabher; MacKenzie and Xzavier Grabher; and Michael Zwiefelhofer; brothers, Neil and Robert Loomis; Lila Arnold and Faye Furruglyas; brothers-in-law, Don (Jaclyn) Grabher and Karl (Karen) Grabher; sisters-in-law, Jacquelynn (George) Meyers and Rebeckha Neu; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald Loomis and Alta (nee: Pabst) Loomis; husband, Darold; grandson, Samuel George Grabher; and by Darold’s parents, George and Jean (nee: Dibble) Grabher.
Funeral services will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at 1:00 pm. A life celebration luncheon will follow. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Sunday, November 23, 2014 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Private interment will take place in Graceland Cemetery on Monday.
