RACINE – Mrs. Judith K. Maresh, 68, passed away at WFH- All Saints on Friday, November 22, 2013.
A lifelong resident of Racine, she born on March 8, 1945, the daughter of the late William and Helen (nee: Barker) Lui. Judi graduated from St. Catherine’s High School. On May 2, 1964, she married Thomas Maresh at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Judi worked as a legal secretary for many years at DeMark, Kolbe and Brodek. She was past president of the Legal Professionals of Wisconsin. An avid Bingo player, she enjoyed gambling trips with her husband to Las Vegas and various casinos. She loved spending her quiet time crocheting and being in the company of her family.
In addition to her husband, Tom, she is survived by her daughter, Carla (Tom) Jameson; son, Gary Maresh; her granddaughter Sara Jameson all of Racine; her sisters, Joan (Robert) Hueffner of Racine, Margaret Kaddatz-Lui of Mississippi, Carol Lui of Racine; her sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law, Carolynne (Ray) Carlson of Ironwood, MI, Marilynne (John) Schultz, Larry (Joy) Maresh of Racine, Terry (Karen) Maresh of DeMoines, IA; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Judi was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Minnie and Jerome Lui and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clem and Mary Maresh.
Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 5-7 pm for a visitation. The celebration of her life and funeral service will take place in the funeral home on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. There will also be a visitation on Wednesday from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. Her interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
