Julie Anne
Esser
Nov 23, 1942 — Jul 16, 2026
Julie Anne Esser, age 83, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026. Born to the late Rennie and Dorothy (née Breheim) Dexter, Julie grew up surrounded by a large and loving family, where she worked alongside her brothers to help run the family farm.
Known for her warm heart, gentle smile, and quiet kindness, Julie brought a steady, loving presence to everyone who knew her. She was a longtime, dedicated employee at Case in Racine, where she retired after many years of service and made lifelong friends. A woman of faith, she was also a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church in Sturtevant. Julie supported numerous charities, cherished the simple joys of life, and held a deep love for her family.
On June 11, 1994, Julie was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Eberhard. She is now peacefully reunited with Eberhard, whom she loved deeply, cherished traveling alongside, and held close in her heart every day since his passing. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, John Dexter and Arthur Dexter.
Julie's memory will be forever kept alive by her devoted brother, William Dexter (and his wife, Patricia); sister-in-law, Patricia Esser; William's daughters, Audrey Villalobos and Sarah Dexter; her nephews from her late brother John: Brad (Janet) Dexter and Nathan (Kim) Dexter; and her dear nieces and nephew from her late brother Arthur: James Dexter, Anna Dexter, and Ellen Dexter. She will also be deeply missed by the many friends and relatives who loved her generous spirit.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory (4600 County Line Rd., Mount Pleasant). A memorial service to celebrate Julie's beautiful life will follow at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Julie's honor may be made to Faith Lutheran Church in Sturtevant or the Hunger Task Force.
