Julie Lynn Young

Jan 2, 1971 – Feb 5, 2026

Service Details

A Memorial Service celebrating Julie’s life will be held in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 4:00PM. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 3:30PM until the time of service.

Julie Lynn Young, age 55, entered into rest comfortably on February 5, 2026 at home. After years of carrying the weight of the loss of her daughter, Kieana Young, she has finally been reunited with her, finding the peace she always deserved.

Julie was born on January 2, 1971, in Racine to Jonathan Young and Christine Young (Fintak). Julie was known for her loyalty, humor and deeply caring spirit. She was the kind of person who would give the shirt off her back to help friends or family member in need. Her generosity and selflessness touched the lives of many. Julie dedicated many years of her life to management roles in many industries. She took pride in the relationships she built along the way. After retiring, Julie devoted time and energy to what mattered most to her: her family. She never missed an opportunity to attend her only son’s and grandchildren’s football games, cheering them on with pride. Julie cherished time spent with her grandchildren. Whether she was doing crafts, enjoying simple home activities, or spoiling them with thoughtful gifts, they were truly her greatest joy. Julie’s love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew her.

Julie leaves to cherish her memory her two children: Dejia (Marquan) Mosley and Michael (La’Sadiez)Young Jr.. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Cameron (Kylee) Cornett, Jayden, Nolan, and Jesiah Mosley. She is also survived by her mother, Christine Young, her sister, Melissa Young; nephew Damon (Savannah) Young Jr.; and her nieces, Amber, Peyton and Zoey Young. She leaves behind dear friends Tina Lutze, Kelly Coey Ramirez and Sonya Chavez. Julie was also a devoted fur mom and leaves behind her cherished pets Tinkerbell, Batman, and Nala. as well as her fur nieces Blaze and Harlow. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Kieana Young; her father, Jonathan Young; her brother Damon Young Sr.; and her fur babies Pebbles and Gizmo.

A special thank you to her neighbors Jerry and Brittany for their care and watchful eyes and providing assistance when she needed it.
