Racine- Kartar Singh Virdi, 87, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan- All Saints Medical Center on Tuesday morning, May 18, 2010. Born in India on June 28, 1922 to Surain Singh Virdi and Atti Kaur (nee: Palahe) Virdi, he came to Racine in 1997. Surviving are his wife, Amir Kaur (nee: Bibrah) Virdi; daughters, Harjinder K. (Parminder S.) Jutley, Gurvinder K. (Joginder S.) Jutley and Yashpal K. (Ragbir S.) Chana; sons, Mahijit S. (Parminder K.) Virdi and Jagjit S. (Kiran K.) Virdi; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; and by many other special relatives and friends in the United States and throughout the world. Private family services, including traditional rituals and rites of the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin, will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2010.
